30 Things I Did In June

17:50

This month was definitely a busy one. That's why I thought that I would finally be able to post one of these and say I didn't struggle to get 30 things but even when a lot of things go down in a month, I still seem to struggle. I got to about 20 and then I was stumped.
That being said I think this might be the end of these type of blog posts. Which is kind of sad because I wanted to keep doing them to see it through to the end of the year. But at the same time, I want to do a bit of redesign on the blog. Every so often I get these bursts of inspiration for things like writing and it makes me want to drop everything and start fresh.
But instead of deleting yet another blog, I have decided to just change this one. I have now had this blog for about 3 years and I think that's a pretty big accomplishment so I want to keep it going, but change up the style. Hopefully this means that I will post more often but I have no idea. Let's just see where it goes.
Anyway, for the last time, here are 30 things I did in June:

  1. Played a lot of Sims 4 with the new Parenthood game pack. It's just so great. I haven't been this excited about a game pack since Dine Out was released last year.
  2. Got annoyed at the bugs that came with the new Sims game pack. With every new addition of course things aren't going to run perfectly but still, experiencing bugs aren't great.
  3. Enjoyed seeing the return of Nashville. It was on a super long hiatus and I almost forgot about it. But it's back and it's fabulous.
  4. Got sucked into playing Stardew Valley after my brother bought it for me as a birthday present. I resisted for a while because I didn't think it would be my thing, it is heavily based on Harvest Moon and the one Harvest Moon game I played, I didn't like. But I have been really enjoying Stardew Valley.
  5. Played through my first year in Stardew Valley. Kind of sad that during winter we can't actually plant any crops. Makes for a very long month.
  6. Attended my third hackathon. We threw together a team last minute and powered through from 4 p.m to 4 a.m. Definitely a challenge but I had a lot of fun. We didn't win but we did come close, another team just had a better idea.
  7. Went to England to visit my friend Jasmine at university. I flew on a plane by myself for the first time and I survived so I think that's pretty great. It was also great to see Jasmine again.
  8. Had Stardew Valley withdrawals when in England. I missed the farm life.
  9. When in England, at the amusements the ticket prize people were super nice and one of them gave us a free wonder woman bobble head haha. It was worth 2000 tickets but we got it for free.
  10. Died in the heat in England. So much warmer than I'm used to and trying to sleep was next to impossible. How people wear jeans in that weather I will never know.
  11. Crashed a 7 year old's birthday party with Jasmine. She was invited by her boyfriend's family but we literally knew no one else there haha. Still had fun though.
  12. Played Overcooked with Jasmine and her boyfriend's family. I really liked the game and decided to buy it when I came home from England. It's definitely not as fun to play by yourself but it is twice the challenge haha. Definitely something to play with friends and family.
  13. Celebrated my 20th birthday. I made last minute plans when coming back from England so basically no one was available because they are all working. Such is the struggle when all your friends are growing up but I still had a good time.
  14. Went to the ballet for the first time with one of my best friends. She had to review it for a magazine and got a plus one and who was I to turn down such an offer? It was interesting and I enjoyed it as my first ballet.
  15. Went to Dublin with my boyfriend for the weekend as a birthday surprise. He's so cute. I love him.
  16. Celebrated pride in Dublin. It was my first time ever going to a pride parade and I loved every second of it.
  17. Got rejected entry from a bar in Dublin as you had to be 21. It was kind of a bummer because it wasn't something I was expecting but we found somewhere else to go.
  18. I was sad that another year went by that I was not able to attend Vidcon LA. I will one day though.
  19. Freaked at the PLL finale. 7 years of my life and it's over. It's just kind of hard to believe. I mean the finale lacked in some areas for sure but I am content enough with the finale to let the show go. Hopefully the show I find to replace it is just as good.
  20. Made a lot of Pretty Little Liars videos coming up to the end of the show. I had to get my thoughts out there into the world and with so little episodes left there was so much to say.
  21. Loved the crowning of America's Next Drag Super Star on RuPaul's Drag Race. This season they did the finale differently and I wasn't sure how to feel about it but when I saw Sasha lip sync I knew she was the clear winner.
  22. Binge-watched Orange is the New Black in 2 days. Guys, this season was kind of crazy and I found it hard to believe everything that happened in the riot only lasted a few days. Also hate how they ended on a cliffhanger. I just need to know what happens now.
  23. They finally announced the release of Dr. Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused? In Europe. I have been waiting for this game basically since I found out there was one. I have the other two Brain Training games so naturally I was excited for this one. So I got to preordering and I can't wait to get it.
  24. Started an Instagram for Sims 4 gameplay. I'm not really sure why but I had all these pretty screenshots from a Sims wedding and thought, yes Sims needs Instagram haha. I don't post anything different than what I post on my Sims Tumblr but I thought why not? Just something a little extra to do.
  25. Turned my Snapchat map off. There's something not right about knowing the exact location of someone all the time. Although I did see a meme about it trying to be the next Gossip Girl spotted map and I totally agree.
  26. Showed my family my Echo at my birthday and now they all want one. I honestly didn't think they would be that interested but apparently I was wrong.
  27. Unsuccesfully tried to make plans with people now that I was off for Summer break. Everyone is working and then there's just me...
  28. Celebrated my 4th year being mayor of my Animal Crossing: New Leaf town. Can't believe the game is 4 years old now. I can remember how exciting it was to get a new Animal Crossing game. I'm patiently waiting for them to announce the game for the Switch. At least I hope they will make one.
  29. Slept a lot. Basically just enjoyed not having to stress over uni work for once haha.
  30. Became obsessed with the song One Last Time by Ariana Grande after the One Love Manchester concert. I never properly listened to the song until then and I really love it.
Overall I had a really great month. I kept myself busy and got to rest after another crazy year at university.
Now that this is my last list, I can't promise monthly updates on the blog. But I will try to post more often. I also want to stop posting so much about TV Shows. I didn't mean to get so into posting about TV Shows here but that became a really big thing for a while. So did YouTuber book reviews which I liked because it meant I was reading. These days, not so much. So I need to get back onto that.
So yeah, here's to looking forward to a (hopefully) new redesigned blog!

15 Things I did in April

12:00

Well...This month I really struggled to get 30 things. Mainly because I really didn't do much over April. It was a lot of me sitting in my room coding or watching something or sleeping or playing Another Brick in the Mall. I mean I try to update these posts as the month goes along so I can keep track of things I did but definitely not a lot of things going on. But yeah, I'm proud I was able to get at least half a list of things I did in April, so without rambling anymore, here is a list of things I did in April:

  1. Watched 13 Reasons Why. I normally don't jump on things as soon as they are released and while everyone is talking about them but I wanted to watch this because I read the book it was based on. It broke my heart. It was really good and had a great message but I only recommend if you are in a strong state of mind because it is a really heavy show.
  2. Bought the Sims 4 Bowling Stuff pack and didn't use it. I bought it to check out over Easter but got sucked into playing Another Brick in the Mall instead...
  3. Bought and started to play Another Brick in the Mall. I decided to buy it after watching Conflict Nerd's Let's Play on it and I'm obsessed. I could let it run and watch the little people running around all day.
  4. Was off for Easter for 3 weeks and it was wonderful to catch up on all the sleep.
  5. Went on a road trip with my friends to the coast for the day. Was successful as we did not get lost but at the same time it wasn't a very nice day but at least the rain stayed away.
  6. Prepared to say goodbye to Pretty Little Liars as the second half of the final season premiered. I have dedicated a lot of time to this show and I will be sad to see it end. At the same time, I am dying to find out who A.D is.
  7. Bought a new colouring book and fell in love. I found it very relaxing. Until I coloured a tiny bit outside the lines...
  8. Went to the amusements with my family and won a lot of tickets. Too bad I couldn't find any prizes that I wanted. But I have the tickets for another day.
  9. Regretted not getting tickets for Vidcon Europe. It looked like a blast...maybe next year!
  10. Spent a lot of time staring at code trying to get my uni assignment finished. You think it would be easy to make your own mobile application but it's really not haha. I don't know how people do it for a living.
  11. Watched Girl Boss on Netflix. Not my favourite thing. Took a while to get into because the main character was not my favourite. Felt like the story was missing a lot.
  12. Was a little bit disappointed by the Snatch Game on this season of RuPaul's Drag Race. It felt shorter or maybe the characters weren't as strong as previous years which is sad. But there's always next season!
  13. Started watching Gossip Girl yet again. It's become one of those shows I stick on TV when I don't know what to watch. It's something fun and good to tune into when you want some scandal in your life haha
  14. Attended a hackathon with my boyfriend. It was my second hackathon and we actually ended up joining up with a team sitting next to us with a similar idea. It all turned out for the best though because we came second!
  15. I won an Amazon Echo at the hackathon in the raffle. It was totally unexpected. I usually never win things like that.
And there you go. That was my April. Even though I didn't have as many things as I usually do on the list I do think this month I was the most busy. I had a project deadline looming so I spent a lot of time coding but I also made time to see my friends while they were home from uni and on top of all that I attended a hackathon. Not too shabby if I do say so myself haha.
May brings us into exam season so I can't imagine I will be up to anything exciting there other than you know, revising haha. But I guess we see what happens. I do have to take study breaks after all....
Anyway I hope you enjoyed reading, and as always, I will see you next month to share my adventures in May!

31 Things I Did In March

14:00

Another exciting month of things. It's crazy how fast time passes. I feel like this month had a lot going on. :)

  1. Made pancakes from scratch for the first time in my life. It went okay. Made them a few more times after that and am slowly getting better. I'll be a domestic goddess in no time lol.
  2. Updated my dream suite on Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the first time in forever. When I updated my game for the amiibo update my dream address got removed. Had to create a new one and I wanted my town to look great. Come visit!
  3. Became obsessed with the Hillywood Show's parody of Suicide Squad. I love all their parodies they are so amazing. I discovered them through their Twilight parodies. I definitely recommend you check them out.
  4. Caught a Pikachu with a party hat on Pokemon Go. I love when they have themed Pikachus. They're really cute.
  5. Cried at the Vampire Diaries finale. Hard. The show ending was something I was just not prepared for. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. I am still really sad that it's over but I am also really glad the ending was good. If the ending wasn't good then I feel like the last 8 years would have been wasted.
  6. Got tickets to see Steps in November with my sisters. I used to love them when I was younger. Who didn't love them?
  7. Had a week off from uni and spent a majority of it playing Sims and Animal Crossing. My two true loves. It was great.
  8. Talked to an old Animal Crossing friend for the first time in a long time. We've known each other about 3 years. So weird. But also really great.
  9. Caught up with my friend to talk about her ENGAGEMENT. I still feel too young for such a thing to happen but yes, that's happening. I am so happy for my friend, the wedding won't be for a few years yet there's still no time like the present to get excited!
  10. Was surprised by my boyfriend as he came over to surprise me. It was just something simple as showing up at my house because I hadn't seen him in a while. It was a great surprise. We cuddled and watched TV and it was wonderful.
  11. Rewatched my KCon videos for the 100th time. Sometimes I get sad or bored and I like to remember that time. It was such a fun time with one of my best friends. I hope we can go again.
  12. Cried at Nashville because they know how to pull at the heart strings. Rayna passing away was so emotional but the way the show has been handling it has been great. Though part of me will always wish it hadn't happened.
  13. Got excited that McDonald's Monopoly is back again. I have never won anything super fantastic from it but I still have fun. Plus, who doesn't love an excuse to go to McDonald's more than normal lol?
  14. Made chocolate Rice Krispie buns on a whim with my boyfriend. My flatmates were appreciative of the treats. :P
  15. Started watching Project Runway, I like it. I love fashion things and I know RuPaul's Drag Race was partly inspired by this show so I decided to give it a go. They only have two seasons on Netflix and I've watched them already so looking for something else to watch now.
  16. Was outraged when Mondo didn't win Season 8 of Project Runway. Can you believe they chose Gretchen?
  17. Started to struggle with Korean. It's a busy semester, I have a lot of uni work to be doing so I don't focus on Korean as much because I am not being graded on it. Definitely a step up from level 1. Don't know how well I will hold up as weeks go on but I am remaining hopeful.
  18. Went to see Beauty and the Beast. It was a really great movie, I enjoyed it. Although I felt like Emma Watson was lacking something as Belle.
  19. Studied a lot of one test. It was not the most fun thing in the world but I feel it took up a majority of my time this month, so there was that.
  20. Spent St Patrick's Day sober, spent time playing Animal Crossing and Sims instead - the story of my life haha. Still a really great day though.
  21. Spent the afternoon with The Sim Supply and Conflict Nerd at their impromptu Belfast Meetup. They are really nice guys. And they are the first YouTubers I have ever met so that's cool.
  22. Finished my first ever essay for uni. As a computing student we don't tend to write essays, we write code. So to say it was a challenge was something else.
  23. Filmed a video to go along with my essay. It was a group thing and I have never filmed something with other people in the room so it was kind of awkward but I made it through and we made a complete video so, that's an accomplishment.
  24. Went shopping and actually got some cute dresses for work placement. You can never have too many dresses.
  25. Enjoyed the little bit of sunny weather we had and went to play mini golf with my boyfriend. He likes to say he won but I think I did. We don't tend to keep score so who really knows...
  26. Freaked out about who the returning drag queen would be on RuPaul's Drag Race. My heart will always hope for Shangela to come back. But I did love Cynthia, so it's good to see her again!
  27. Built my own house on the Sims 4 because why not? I feel like everyone tries to make their own house at least one time playing the game.
  28. Watched iJustine compete on Chopped. I discovered Chopped when flicking through channels one day, I got really into it even though cooking competitions aren't really my thing haha. But when I found out Justine was going to be on it I was super excited. It's sad she didn't make it past the appetiser round but I believe she will go one to cook some great things.
  29. Decided to cancel my Glossybox subscription because I wasn't really using the products. It had been a great treat over the past year but sometimes you can have too many beauty products and it seems like a waste. Especially when you aren't using them.
  30. Had a weird time adjusting to the clocks going forward. I was just playing my DS, looked at the clock on my wall that said 2, but my phone said 3, I was super confused for a minute lol.
  31. Rewatched all of DaveDays old music videos about his Miley Cyrus cardboard cut out. These were some of the first videos I ever watched on YouTube and I loved them a lot. And DaveDays even got to meet Miley Cyrus because of the videos. So great.
There we have it. 31 Things I did in March. In case you haven't noticed, sometimes I do have random little things in these lists so I actually get 31 things. I try to always keep note of the big things, but I know big eventful things don't always happen. And if they did, they wouldn't be a big event would they?
Anyway, that's it for another month. We still have 9 months to go. So crazy.
But on the bright side, only a month or two left of university and then summer break, and then my venture into the real working world. Ooh. Scary yet exciting times ahead! I'm excited to share the journey with you.

Pretty Little Liars

My Current TV Shows

12:00

Today I thought I would talk you through my current TV shows. I felt the need to do this because I feel like I am posting about a lot of TV shows lately and sometimes it is hard to keep track haha. So if you were ever interested to know what shows I am following and currently watching then this is the blog post for you. Although, if you follow me on social media right now you probably think the only show I watch is How To Get Away With Murder...but that is only the tip of the ice burg with the shows I watch.
So yeah, these are all the shows I am currently watching that are still on air. I am also going to put them in the order I started watching them because that might help me remember them all. I swear I don't think I watch that much TV until someone asks me what I watch or I am talking about the shows to someone else...

The Vampire Diaries (2009 - 2017)

This was one of the first TV shows I really got into and started following. I think Glee was the first. But Vampire Diaries came up behind it. At first, I didn't want to watch it because I thought that it was going to be similar to Twilight. You know, a vampire falls in love with a human, there's a bit of a love triangle, they have werewolves...But no. Completely different.
I'll admit when I first started to watch it I couldn't get past the similarities because I was hardcore Twilight fangirl at the time but as the show progressed I realised it was so much more than I originally thought.
I got into this show around the time it was halfway through season 2. My friend would not stop talking about it and so one night I caved and finally decided to watch it. From then I was hooked. I fell in love with the Katherine - Elena's doppelganger - and everything about the show and the characters.
And now, I am dreading the end of this series. I was sad to find that season 8 was going to be its last season. I was hoping for more. I wanted the show to go on forever. But I guess all good things must come to an end. All I hope is that everything works out because from the last episode that I saw, things were not going well. I hope we get the ending we deserve.

Pretty Little Liars (2010 - 2017)

I started this show on a whim. Didn't really know much about it. Started watching it after I had finished watching Gossip Girl because I love my high school drama shows.
I quickly realised this show was more than just about high school drama haha. But I fell in love. I'm not quite sure what it was about the show that made me fall in love but once I was hooked I was all in. I needed to know who A was.
And when we found out that Alison was alive - that was a big shock to me. The show just kept stepping up its game so how can you not love it? I even got so into the show I started making YouTube videos about it, talking about my own theories on who A might be and sharing my thoughts on the show.
When the show was put on Netflix, it wasn't long before my entire school year at the time was talking about it, which made it very hard to avoid spoilers if you didn't keep up with the show. Luckily, I always did. It was always interesting coming into school to hear about people's theories on who  A was.
It was safe to say we were all disappointed in the last A reveal but it's now at the point where we are 10 episodes left from the show ending and so, we might as well stick it out and see who the real big bad A is. I haven't read the books, but I do know who was revealed to be A in them. But something tells me the TV show is not going to end the same as the books so, who is A? I have no idea. But I'm dying to find out.

Nashville (2012 - 2017)

I started this show after Glee ended and my friend suggested it to me. They said it was similar to Glee because they also had original songs. Definitely not like Glee but I do like the songs haha.
Honestly, it took me a while to get into this show. I only really stuck around for Juliette in seasons one and two but then season three hit and that's when I really fell in love. I think I started watching this show during season 2. I seem to always find good shows when they are in their second season haha.
But what I didn't expect from this show was just how quickly I actually fell in love with it and how attached I would become to the characters. I have been through quite a few emotional ups and downs with this show but none can compare to the latest episode with Rayna. I made a video on my feelings on that one.
I just was not expecting her to go that way or that the actress wanted to leave the show. But I will forever be glad that the show got picked up for season 5 after it was cancelled. I don't know how I would have coped knowing it had ended on a cliffhanger.

Orange is the New Black (2013 - )

This show might be the reason why I decided to start up a Netflix subscription. I started it on a whim during the summer 2 years ago and since then I have been hooked.
Basically, when season 3 was released everyone online wouldn't stop talking about it so I finally wanted to see what all the fuss was about. And now I know, it's a really good show.
Like everyone I have my issues with Piper but everyone else on the show is great. As it is a Netflix Original, the show is highly binge-watch worthy but also it is agony waiting every year for a new season once you finish the current one.
I am still not over how they ended the latest season and so, I need the next one ASAP.

RuPaul's Drag Race (2009 - )

I never intended to actually get into this show, it just kind of happened haha. I was at a sleepover one night with my friends and one of them put it on for something to play as background noise and suddenly we were all paying more attention to it than anything else.
This was definitely the show I didn't realise I needed into my life until it came into it. It is fabulous. I have made blog posts talking about it before. I have met Bianca Del Rio, winner of season 6.
This show is amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. Meeting Bianca was a dream come true, and finding out that drag queens come to the UK on a regular basis is also a dream come true. I mean forget meeting other celebrities, drag queens are who you really wanna meet.
Also, the last All Stars season was definitely something that's not to be missed. And season 9 is right around the corner. This is one of those shows I can see going on forever and I need it to, because I'm not sure I am going to find something equally as fabulous to replace it with.

Suits (2011 - )

This was a recommendation from my boyfriend. I wasn't really sure if I would be into it but it turns out lawyers are something that I can be into.
I'm not really sure what it was about the show that got me into it, I think it was mainly just the whole thing of Mike being adorable and also how they were managing to get away with Mike being a fraud for so long.
Part of me does wonder how long this show can go on though. It's one of those things where it's based on something and then once that thing is gone, what direction can the show go in?
That being said, the season 6 finale was everything I needed it to be. I am so excited for season 7. But please can we let Louis find love? That's my main concern right now.

How To Get Away With Murder (2014 - )

My newest love. I have probably talked about this show enough for you to know how I feel about it and how I got into it. So I'll just not say anything more.
If anything I just wanted to know how they would progress after season 1 because they got away with the murder. But hey, they pulled it off and we are now gearing up for season 4. Am I prepared? Definitely not.

And those are all my current TV shows. To be honest I did think I had more shows than that, but I guess not haha. I guess in my head I was also counting shows I rewatch and ones that I tune into from time to time. But these are the ones that I watch every week without fail and can't wait for new episodes of.
I know some of them are ending really soon which is why I need to work on finding some more shows. Or maybe I need to take a break from TV shows and do something else. Maybe read more or something. TV has just become a really easy thing to turn to at the end of the day. Even though I did make a New Years' Resolution to read more this year.
But no matter what I always have time for a little TV, especially if it's for one of my favourite shows.
Anyway, I think that's everything that I had to say. Well, I could probably talk more about these shows if you wanted but I feel this blog post is getting a bit long so I will leave it here. Let me know what your favourite TV shows are below, and if you have any suggestions for shows I might like that would also be great. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some more TV to watch.

RuPaul's Drag Race

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 2 Queens!

12:00

I just finished watching the first episode of All Stars 2 and I am dying. This season is such a step up from the first All Stars season and I love it.To me, All Stars 1 was really just there so we could see Chad Michaels win. I didn't really like the team thing and wasn't a huge fan of some of the queens that season. I just felt like it was kind of all over the place with challenges etc.
So when All Stars 2 was announced I was excited to see what would happen. Especially since this round, there isn't a clear queen that stands out above the rest. Not to mention RuPaul has gotten rid of the teams and is now adding more plot twists than I can handle.
First of all, the top 2 girls will lip sync for their legacy rather than having the bottom 2 lip sync to stay in the competition. And not only that but if they win the lip sync they will win $10,000 and the chance to eliminate one of the other queens in the bottom 3.
Like...are you serious?
$10,000 for winning a lip sync? No one is messing around this season. And on top of that, eliminating one of your friends from the competition? That's tough and very emotional. These girls are sisters and to pit them against each other is pure evil. And makes for great television.
Not to mention they decided to bring back the most dramatic queens from previous seasons. Didn't we all get a little bit excited when we heard Coco Montrese and Alyssa Edwards were coming back for round 2? And who doesn't love a Rol-aska-tox reunion?
So maybe this season of All Stars should have really been called the season 5 reunion. I feel like the other seasons aren't as fairly represented because of all the season 5 queens but that's okay. I hope this means in All Stars 3 some more past queens will have their time to shine. Especially if Tatianna from season 2 can make her way in with all the newer queens.
Anyway, time to talk about the contestants of this season of All Stars. I think I will list them in order of what season they were in. It seems like the most logical way to do this thing.

Season 2

Tatianna. Girl. Season 2. I was not expecting that. My whole thought process for them choosing contestants for All Stars 2 is that they would pick queens from season 4-8. Mainly because the last All Stars was just after season four, so if All Stars is every 4 seasons then shouldn't the contestants be from the last 4 seasons? If that makes sense...
Either way, it doesn't seem to be the case with Tatianna on the scene.
I honestly am not a big fan of her. She doesn't seem to stand out among the other queens in my opinion. She doesn't have as big of a personality as the queens around her so to me she'll just fade into the background.
That being said, she did make an impression on me when she was one of the top 2 in the first episode. I liked her spoken word piece at the talent show. It was something new for me that I have never seen before, and never expected from Tatianna. So I applaud her for being out of the box with her style.
One thing I really want to know is who she would have eliminated if she had won the lip sync. She wasn't having as hard a time as Roxy was when it came to deciding which queen to send home. So I am interested to know who she thought wasn't worthy of the competition. Especially since everyone underestimated her, being the girl from season 2.

Season 4

Phi Phi. I think out of all the queens to come back Phi Phi has changed the most.
Her drag style has definitely changed a lot. My friend Nathan has been showing me her 365 days of drag on Instagram and it is amazing.
She has also recognised how awful she was on her season of Drag Race and one of the reasons why she is now on the show is to help fix her image a little. To show people she isn't just that bitchy girl. She is a whole lot more. And I'm excited to see the nice side of Phi Phi.
Her performance in the talent show was not the best. Although I think it's because she chose to sang acapella and that was a risk. To be honest I was not sure how to feel about her choice to sing after the whole singing challenge in season 4. I mean I know she likes to sing but that doesn't always mean it's good.
But I'm glad she's still in the competition and I can't wait to see what kind of drag looks she will pull off later in the season.

Season 5

Alaska. Of course she walks in wearing a bin bag, what more could we expect from her? I loved it.
I was also surprised to see she wasn't even a little bit excited to be reunited with her friends from season 5. It seems Ro-laska-tox is officially over.
I know Alaska wanted to break out of their little group to stand out on her own in her season and so it's understandable why she is creating distance from Roxy and Detox. But I would have liked them to be Ro-laska-tox one more time. They were fun.
But I am excited to see Alaska shine on her own where she isn't grouped in with her friends or living in the shadow of Sharon Needles.
It's Alaska's time to shine hunty.
I was actually surprised by Alaska's talent show performance. I was initially worried when I heard she was going to sing because her singing in season 5 was not great. But she actually turned it out and did really well. I also loved her outfit. So pink and pretty.
I am interested to see what else she can do when she's working on her own.

Roxxxy. I love her.
I am glad to see that she is upfront and real about what went down in season 5. She was a bitch and she is sorry. She is now ready to move on and be a little bit nicer than before. But that's not going to get in the way of her getting the crown.
She still looks as fabulous as ever and her burlesque performance was to die for. I also think it's great her and Detox are still friendly. At least we'll always have Re-tox haha.
When she found out she was in the top and had to eliminate one of her fellow queens she was very upset. It was not something she wanted to do and I liked her approach to the situation. She was fair and she talked to all the girls and decided to base the decision off of the judges' critiques and not her friendships and personal feelings.
I can't imagine how hard it was for her to do. And it really showed how much she has changed from her season. If this was season 5 she probably would have had no problem throwing someone under the bus to get rid of them. But I was proud of her progress. And I do think her elimination was right.
And also congratulations to her for winning the first lip sync and $10,000. You go Miss Thing.

Detox. Honestly, she was my least favourite of the Ro-laska-tox trio. I'm not really sure why but she was.
To me she wasn't really standing out that much in this episode. Her talent show performance wasn't my favourite. I know she was singing but because it was auto-tuned I didn't know how to feel. Plus, the neon paint was just...a lot haha.
I don't have much to say about Detox but I am interested to see what she can bring outside of Ro-laska-tox too. To me, Roxxxy was probably the one out of all of them that really wanted to win the competition. The others didn't seem to want it quite as bad as her.

Alyssa. Back rolls? I feel like we heard that joke almost any time someone talked to Alyssa haha.
To be honest I was only ever interested in her because of her drama with Coco Montrese. I mean wasn't that all why we watched season 5?
Alyssa is an okay queen. I feel like she can do well in the competition but maybe not enough to win.
Her performance at the talent show is interesting. I mean the puppet was kind of insane but the dancing was good. She knows she can dance and she works it.
I'm looking forward to see how far she goes in the competition and if we will actually learn what Alyssa's secret is on this season of All Stars.

Coco. Orange you happy to see me? Dead. Coco had a great entrance to this season.
Again, she was only really interesting to me because of her drama with Alyssa. But when she walked into the work room and Alyssa said "that was so three seasons ago" I knew they had kissed and made up.
Her talent show performance was not that great. Her dancing wasn't very interesting and the whole performance was confusing to me. I didn't really know what to make of it.
So when Roxxxy decided to eliminate her I was okay with that. I don't think she'll be missed.
Although it might not be over for her.
When she was leaving RuPaul appeared on the TV in the work room and told Coco that she could come back. All she has to do is get revenge?
I am interested to see where that goes. I want to know what's going to happen and if Roxxxy should watch her back...

Season 6

Adore. My babe. I love her. She was one of my favourite queens from season 6 and so I was so happy to see her back as an All Star.
Although I don't think she expected the competition to be what it is. I felt so bad for her when she got the critiques she did from Michelle. I know she didn't cinch her waist for the talent show but I know she finds it easier to sing without a corset and I think that's understandable.
I also think Adore has stepped up her drag since drag race. It might not be as polished as the other queens but it's her own style.
I admit she might not win but I still didn't want her to be the first queen eliminated. I know she has more to offer and so I'm glad she gets to stay for another day.

Season 7

Ginger Minj. In my opinion she should have won season 7 as she is a very well-rounded queen. She has got the look, she can do comedy and she can also sing too. Who knew?
When Ginger sung for the talent show I was really surprised. I didn't know she could sing. And I really liked it. I thought her performance was great.
I don't really know what to expect of Ginger for this competition but I hope she goes far. Whether she will win the crown or not is unclear.
Like I said before, I don't think there is a clear winner for this season of All Stars but I would definitely think Ginger would be one of the ones who could make her way to the top. Provided she doesn't get eliminated by another queen first.

And last but not least, Katya. I definitely didn't appreciate Katya as much as I should have on season 7 and so I am glad she is back.
I also like that she has decided that this season she is going to step up her game and not hold back. Katya is definitely one of those queens that has a lot more potential that we didn't see before. So I can't wait to see her shine.
I also enjoyed her talent show performance. She stood out a lot more than the other queens although I do wish we had seen a full performance. I feel like we missed a lot.
Do I think she has the potential to win? Yes. I don't think we should dismiss the season 7 queens just because their season wasn't that great.

So those were all my thoughts on the queens so far in this season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. While I do love some more than others I wish them all luck. This season is not going to be an easy one and so I have no idea who the winner will be.
I also don't know how I am going to make it through this season if they are going to keep adding twists like this. If the first episode got me worked up into an emotional mess I don't even want to know how the other episodes will treat me. Although it might get easier for the queens to be eliminated as time goes on. Who knows?
All I know is I can't wait for the next episode because it's going to be an All Stars snatch game! I wonder what that'll be like and who the queens will be impersonating. Hopefully they chose some new characters that we didn't see in the last snatch game although Adore's Anna Nicole Smith was a personal favourite of mine. But still, it's going to be another exciting episode and I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who will be the next queen to be eliminated and who will be doing the elimination... It's all so dramatic this season and I love it.

RuPaul's Drag Race

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8 Top 4!

15:00

We are rapidly approaching the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race season 8!

I am both excited and sad that in a few weeks there is going to be a new Drag Race Super Star. I mean this season has been so amazing I just don't want it to end. I have loved every single queen this season and so to have it come down to this top 4 is crazy.
I just love them all so much that I don't know who will win. And I don't know who will go home to make it top 3. It's a close competition this season and so it'll be a great finish.
But until we know the winner, I thought I would give you my thoughts on the top 4. And also maybe talk about some queens I am sad to have seen go. So without further ado: our top 4!

Bob the Drag Queen
Who doesn't love Bob? I mean I'll admit sometimes she can be a bit too loud but she's pretty great. I agree with Michelle that she can't do full on glam but other than that she's a solid queen. I don't think I really have a bad thing to say about her. I can now fully see why Bianca del Rio loves her. And I still live every time she walks into the room purse first. Can we please have the purse be an accessory in future seasons to come?
Chi Chi DeVayne
Sassy, Southern gal. Did not think much of her at first. But she has definitely proved that she is more than just a cheap queen. I loved her puppet portrayal of Bob. It reminded me a lot of when Ben de la Creme did Bianca del Rio in season 6. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Still, there's still something about her that isn't standing out to me. I don't know what. I think I'm too focused on Bob and Kim Chi to really care about the other top 4. So I guess you could say I'm a little biased...is that bad?

Kim Chi
I can't hate anything about Kim Chi. Not a thing. She's so wonderful. I mean yeah, the runway walk and the dancing aren't great but she can do everything else. I loved Kim Chi's book ball story/runways so much. I just love everything about her. So to me Kim Chi can do no wrong. And her friendship with Naomi is super cute. Vote for Kim Chi!
Naomi Smalls
Definitely someone I underestimated and didn't really like. At first I thought she was just relying on body but she is so much more than that. I think the main reason I don't like her is that she can be really catty - especially with Derrick in the last episode but at the same time she did redeem herself. So I'm not really sure where I stand with Naomi. All I know is, is that she definitely more than the model type I thought she was going to be.

And those would be our top 4 girls! Clearly I am leaning more towards Kim Chi and Bob the Drag Queen as my favourites but who will actually win, I have no idea. I just know I don't want this season to end. It feels like it's been going way too quickly.
Now moving on to some queens that I was sad to see leave the show:

Acid Betty
So if you follow me on Twitter, then you know I had a lot of love for Acid Betty. I loved her runway looks and her personality so much. I just didn't want her to go. Sadly, her Snatch Game really was flat and I was surprised that was the case. She doesn't strike me as the type of queen to flake on her impersonations. So I do understand why she had to leave, but that doesn't mean I was happy about it.

Derrick Barry
Okay so I'm maybe not that upset Derrick is gone. I mean it was between her and Bob and so...Derrick was right to go home. I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did though. I mean she tried so hard to break out of her Britney impersonation. But she was still Britney. Although I did like that she always stood up for herself. And I also give her credit for at least trying to do her eyebrows differently, because that's not an easy thing to do. It's hard enough to fill in your eyebrows without overdrawing them nevermind paint ones on from scratch...

Thorgy Thor
I really loved Thorgy. She was so fun. I mean I wish she had at least won a challenge before she left. It wasn't as if she was horrible at everything. Until the challenge where she got eliminated of course. I just feel like she had so much more potential. I don't know. There's just something about her that made me want to see more of her so I was sad to see her leave. But at the same time it's understandable why she was eliminated. She was a bit too scatterbrained I think. Still, I look forward to seeing her in the reunion.

And so this brings me to the end of my second post about RuPaul's Drag Race season 8! Like I said, I loved all the queens this season, some more than others but I am super excited to see what the finale holds in store for us.
Will I make another blog post when the winner is revealed? I don't know. I think it depends on how I feel about it. Either way I will definitely tweet about it so if you want to know my thoughts on the finale then follow me on Twitter.
In the mean time, feel free to check out my last blog post on Drag Race, sharing my first impressions on the season 8 queens. We have definitely come a long way from when these girls first walked into the work room.
Who do you think will be America's Next Drag Super Star? Let me know in the comments below!

First Impressions

The RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8 Queens!

13:40

A new season of Drag Race. A group of new queens battling it out for the title of America's Next Drag Super Star. It's safe to say I'm excited. Although I am very hesitant when it comes to new drag queens. This is because when I first started to watch Drag Race there had already been 6 seasons and I liked all the queens in those seasons, but then when it came to the season 7 queens...I was not the biggest fan.
So I was a little hesitant to meet the queens of season 8. What if they were similar to the ones from season 7? It's not that I didn't like those queens it was just that I didn't find a real connection to them like I had with queens from past seasons. So I was worried it would be the same with the season 8 queens.
But after watching the season 8 premiere I can say that I am willing to give these queens a chance. I think this is going to be a really great season of Drag Race and I can't wait to see what lies ahead. The queens this season definitely seem a lot livelier than the ones from last season. At least no one will be telling any of these queens that they need to wake up. *cough* Pearl *cough*
Before I get into my thoughts on the individual queens I want to talk about the premiere episode as a whole. I. Loved. It.
Not only was this the first episode of the season, it was also the 100th episode of RuPaul's Drag Race and so you know it was going to be special. I had already seen the promo photo for this episode with RuPaul and all the past winners of Drag Race and so I was dying to know what that was about.
I love all of the winners of Drag Race. They are all so glamorous and wonderful and perfect. And so to see them all in the one photo it's almost too much to handle. And I enjoyed seeing them all in this episode. Apart from Bianca del Rio which I was sad about although they did have a pretty convincing stand-in.
But not only were the past winners back, they also brought back some other drag queens from past seasons too. As well as some of my favourite design challenges. Which I was living for. I love all the design challenges on Drag Race, some of them look like so much fun. So it was cool to see the new queens take on these old challenges.
The only thing I would say though is that because everyone was working on different things we didn't see as much in the work room as we normally do which I was upset about. But the final products everyone produced were amazing.
Also no Santino again this season? I'm sad about that. I missed Santino last season.
We also have a new runway song this season which again I don't love. I thought Sissy That Walk was a great runway song. I suppose it just caught me off guard more than anything. I'll see if I warm up to it as the season goes on.
But overall it was a fabulous episode and I loved that it was the 100th episode too. It makes me super excited to see what the rest of the season will be like.
Now moving on to our season 8 queens...

Acid Betty
I love her. I got good vibes from her right away. I love her style and her attitude and she seems really fun. I'm excited to see how far she makes it in the competition. I also loved her money ball dress. That was one of my favourite challenges on Drag Race. So I was excited to see it again.

Bob the Drag Queen
Again a really fun queen. I know Bianca del Rio has a soft spot for her so I have been keeping an open mind about her. She's pretty great. Very clearly a comedy queen but there's nothing wrong with a good comedy queen. Also girl knows how to make a pair of curtains look stylish. Even if they come with a horrible accessory.

Chi Chi Davayne
Not very memorable to me. She came in wearing a trash bag which has been done before. Don't really have much else to say since I don't remember her. Although I will say I was disappointed in her glitter ball look. Not very glittery. And she's a drag queen.
Cynthia Lee Fontaine
As soon as she walked into the workroom I knew I was going to dislike her. She is a loud queen. And I think she is trying way too hard to come up with a catchphrase. I feel like she's trying to be Yara Sofia but is failing miserably. So please stop girl. Because I get a headache every time you come on screen. Her sugar ball dress was nothing special. All I can think of in that challenge was Detox's neon candy dress haha that was fierce.
Dax ExclamationPoint
Girl is tall. I don't really remember a lot about her either haha. She had the Hello Kitty runway look and I don't think I was a fan of it. But I like her drag name so I am hoping she has more to offer us.
Derrick Barry
I love her. I mean girl knows how to do Brittany. As soon as she walked into the workroom I was LIVING. Although my fear is she doesn't know how to do anything but Britney but I think we all have that fear. Her Christmas outfit kind of reminded me of Carmen Carrera's as it showed a lot of body.
Kim Chi
Another queen that I instantly fell in love with. She's so cute in or out of drag. And I loved her runway look, her makeup and outfit were on point. Although her runway walk is going to be her downfall. Everything else about her is really fierce. Another fear I have is that she's going to be a quiet queen and I don't want that. She needs her fierceness to shine through.
Laila McQueen
She reminds me of someone in real life and I don't mean that in a bad way. I like her. She doesn't seem to have as much energy as the other queens which bothers me. She seems to be one that lacks a big personality which is the downfall of many queens on the show. I hope she can come out of her shell. I was also living for her RuPocalypse look.
Naomi Smalls
All I could think when she walked into the room was Glamazon. She is gorgeous. I don't remember much else about her though. I do think her boat and runway look were lacking though. I mean she went very minimal with it and I wish she had done something like Willam had. Especially because she decided to step out of the boat. Her outfit could have been better for it even if she didn't have time to properly decorate the boat.
Nayasha Lopez
She kind or reminded me of Vivienne Pinay. As in she was very quiet and didn't stand out to me. I don't remember her at all. I just know she sashayed away. And from previous experience, the first queen to sashay away isn't really worth knowing at all...So sorry girl. We'll see you at the reunion though.
Robbie Turner
Did someone ask for Jinkx Monsoon 2.0? I think so. It was so awkward when she turned up at the photoshoot with the same hair as Jinkx. I mean right off the bat you can see what kind of vibe she was going for. I hope she has more to offer rather than just being another Jinkx. Especially because she's not going to win if she's a copy of one of the previous winners.
Thorgy Thor
Again, she reminds me of someone I know. Not in a bad way. She's very full of energy, quirky and fun. I like her. I'm excited to see where she goes in the competition. I don't really remember her runway look though so I can't make a comment on that. Still, she's fun although I wonder if she has a mean streak...most queens do.

And so that brings me to the end of my critique on the season 8 Queens! I have to say we have a good mix of queens this season.
Whereas with season 7 I kind of felt like a lot of the queens were similar. So I am excited to see what comes of this competition.
I don't have a particular favourite for winner yet. Although I do like a fair few of the queens. I imagine I'll be making predictions for the season after a few more episodes. I'll keep you posted.
In the mean time I think I'm going to go back and rewatch previous seasons of Drag Race and celebrate the past queens because seeing them all in the season 8 premiere made me miss them. I would love for there to be a show with all the past winners on it. I mean having them all in one place at one time is just fabulousness overload. So RuPaul, can you make it happen?

Let me know what you guys think of this season of queens and who is your favourite. And follow me on Twitter for when I live tweet Drag Race on Tuesdays.

Meeting Bianca del Rio!

17:40

Last week my friends and I went to our first ever drag queen show. We were super excited because the drag queen we were going to see was one of our favourites. Last year we all got addicted to the TV show RuPaul's Drag Race and ever since then we have been wanting to see a drag queen from the show. And we finally got the opportunity.
So we bought our tickets, got all glammed up and mentally prepared ourselves to meet the one and only Bianca del Rio. Bianca was the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race season 6 and considers herself to be an insult comic. She is hilarious. And even more, glamorous in person.
When we first got to the venue we had no idea what to expect. We had never been to this club before, much less a drag queen show. The vibe there was pretty good. Lots of good music, lots of fabulous people. But as we got closer to the start of the show, the more people showed up and soon we could barely move because everyone was pushing to get a good view of the stage.
My friends and I were were lucky that we got there kind of early. That way we could claim the area we kind of wanted to be in when the show started but we still got pushed around quite a bit. That was the only downside to the whole thing. Too many people.
But once the show started you didn't think about that. All you could focus on was the fabulousness that was taking place on stage.
The first two performances were by the two drag queens that host the special guests at the club. They both did lip sync performances which were amazing. Most drag queens are known for their lip syncing and these girls were perfection. And their backup dancers were giving me life.
And then finally, the queen herself appeared on stage. She looks flawless in person. And at first, I had my doubts because it had been a few years since Bianca was on drag race so maybe she looked different from when she was on TV. But no. She looked perfect. In a fabulous black gown no less. Kaftan realness.

She opened the show by explaining how everyone thought she was going to be on Big Brother and how she wasn't going to be releasing an album anytime soon. Of course, she was her hilarious self.
So worth the wait.
Next Bianca turned to ask for people in the audience. She was going to hold a lip sync contest. But she wanted it to be a fair competition so she was looking for four different specific people. And I was one of those people.
I was in shock.
I had no time to process and next thing you know I was being brought onto the stage.
I couldn't believe it. I was on stage with BIANCA DEL RIO.
It still feels like a dream.

When I found out we had to lip sync I was worried. My first thought was: oh my God what if I don't know the song?!
I've watched enough Drag Race to know if you don't know the words to the song you are lip syncing to then you're out. And I was the first one to lip sync. So if I didn't know the words but the other people did I was screwed.
Luckily, when the music started to play I got into it. They played Sissy That Walk by RuPaul and that's when I felt more at ease. That was the one and only RuPaul song I knew the words to so I knew I could do this.
I was hesitant about it at first. Because I was on stage with about 200 people watching me and a bright spotlight blinding me. But as soon as I started to lip sync I just owned it. It was go big or go home and I went big.
It was a blast.
I have no idea how to describe the experience I just thought it was so much fun.
Unfortunately, I didn't win the lip sync battle but I came in second. So I'm taking that as my victory.
When I got off the stage and was reunited with my friends we all freaked out hysterically. I mean no one was expecting that.
Later at the meet and greet, Bianca was so nice! She hugged me and my friends and thanked me for being such a good sport. And I got a photo with her.

I still can't believe it happened. It all just happened in such a blur. But luckily I had friends who decided to document my lip sync performance. That was uploaded to Facebook the next day. I could have cringed about it but instead, I embraced it. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I was going to do it. I mean ever since Drag Race I have wanted to walk that runway and lip sync for my life. So I guess this was me half fulfilling that dream.
And if you guys are interested in seeing a little bit of how my night with Bianca Del Rio went I did vlog about it. Of course. So check that out below:

It was a fab night and I really enjoyed myself. And I think that's the most important thing. So my advice for this year is to embrace the opportunities that come your way. And have a blast. Because life's too short so live it up and party.
I have recently found myself saying "party" a lot and I owe it all to Adore Delano. She's another drag queen from RuPaul's Drag Race season six. I think that's a great catchphrase to have. Because life is to be enjoyed. And what better way to enjoy it than to party?
So I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience meeting Bianca del Rio. If you wanna see me lip sync for my life check out my vlog. And let me know in the comments below what song you would lip sync for your life to.

2015!

20:55

Well guys, it's the end of another year. And that means it's time for a reflective blog post.
I used to make these blog posts all the time back when I had Bebo. I used to blog about all the big things that happened that year and talk about what I hoped for the next year. I actually think it's a really good thing to do because I like looking back and seeing how far I've come.
This year in particular has been insane. So much has happened and I have no idea where to start with it.
I think I'm going to start chronologically and work my way from there because it seems like it makes the most sense.
So according to my Twitter, 2015 started off quite boring. I was pretty lazy. Which tends to happen when you are off school for Christmas. And even though you have a ton of work to do that's due for when you go back, you always leave it to the last minute. Luckily the work didn't seem to weigh me down too much as I still had time to tweet about it.

On top of trying to get through my a levels, I was also very distracted fandom-wise. Four words. Fifty Shades of Grey. For the first two months of the year I was busy trying to get as much information about the movie as possible. And I was freaking out at every glimpse of Jamie Dornan in a grey suit.
Unfortunately the movie was not all that I had hoped it would be. Yet I still enjoyed it for what it was. And I am still excited for the sequels, even though we will be waiting until 2017 to see Mr Grey again.

The start of 2015 is also when I started this blog! I have had many a blog in my life and I decided that this would be the one that I stuck with, for better or for worse. This would be the one I stuck with. I have taken many different directions with blogs before but I feel good about this one.
The only other blogs that I have had for more than a year are my Tumblr blogs, and while they are great I wanted a more serious blog to post to. One that I could look back on and read like a journal. And so this fabulous blog was born. Here's hoping we make it through another year here and I don't randomly change my mind and start a new one. *Fingers crossed*

2015 also saw the start of my love for Tanner Patrick. His cover of Love Me Like You Do was a related video on my YouTube and I clicked on it on a whim. Best decision I ever made. Since then I have been loving Tanner's music and have been an active part of his fandom since around March maybe the end of February. He's a talented musician and I would definitely recommend that everyone check him out.

In April, I was introduced to the show RuPaul's Drag Race and that opened me up to the world of drag queens. I have to say that I love it. I find it so fascinating and I enjoy the show a lot. Everything about it is just fabulous. From the drag queens themselves, to their amazing costumes, to the challenges, to the shady drama. It's all very entertaining and so much fun to watch. I also think it's interesting to learn about drag culture and how much people give up to do something that they love like drag. It's an amazing commitment, and I commend anyone who does it because it's amazing.
After that, school was stressful as we headed towards exam time and the end of an era. Officially leaving secondary school was a huge accomplishment this year. I didn't think I would make it haha. It's crazy to think I left school seven months ago. I don't even feel as if I really left. It just felt like the natural next step which was good.
If I had to say anything about my time at school I would say it was good. I know that it wasn't always that great. There were always stressful times and you didn't always get along with everybody in your class but overall I had a good school experience. I worked hard, got the grades I needed and made some amazing friends I know I'll have for life. And some really great memories but also some not so great ones. Like I said, it wasn't perfect but I had a good time there.

Once exams were over and I hung up uniform for good summer had officially started.
Over summer, I decided to put my focus on YouTube and begin posting videos on a regular basis. I aimed to post five videos a week, one for every weekday. It was a challenge, but I did enjoy posting regular content to my channel. I felt like I was being productive with my time rather than just sitting around playing Animal Crossing.

During the summer I also started watching two new TV shows, Orange is the New Black and Young and Hungry. Both really enjoyable shows. Both completely different. I'm really excited to see where they go with the new seasons.
Another big event that happened in June was that marriage equality was brought to the US as gay marriage was legalised in all fifty states. That was a really big step for the world and I couldn't be happier about it.

June was also the month where I turned 18. However, I don't feel any different than I did when I was any other age haha. Are we supposed to feel really different when we hit a big milestone age? I never have. I just feel the same, it's just that now I say I'm 18 when people ask me my age hahaha.

I also went on holiday with my friends in the summer. We rented a house for the week in Portrush and it was a lot of fun. I did manage to vlog a little bit when I was there and I got to spend some quality time with all of my friends before we went to university. It was very memorable and I'm sure we will be planning many more group holidays in the future.

The rest of the summer was spent playing Sims or working on YouTube. I still made the occasional plans with friends to keep in touch too. All of this was just a distraction from the approach of results day.
Results day was pretty nerve wracking. It's the moment when you find out if you are going to university or not. I tried to remain pretty calm about the whole thing but there was a tiny part of me that was worried that I didn't do as well as I thought I did.

Luckily I didn't have to worry much because I was able to get the results I needed to go to university.
That's when the real nerves started to kick in.
I was about to start the next chapter in my life. I was going to be in a new place with new people...I didn't even know if I would like my course.
Something else I knew that would really suck would be my friends leaving to go to university. I had went from spending everyday with them to never seeing them. It was an adjustment to say the least.
I was so happy that my transition from school to university was pretty smooth. Like I said, it felt like the next natural step for my life to go in. And I am so grateful for that. I know a lot of people that go to university because they were told to rather than that they wanted to and it doesn't always end up going so well. So if you are thinking about further education then it has to be your choice, someone else shouldn't be making the decision for you.

So for the past few months my life has been all about getting used to university and trying to make sure that I balance everything in my life again. Since starting university, my everyday life has changed dramatically and so I need to establish a new routine.
I have really enjoyed everything that university has been able to offer me so far. I have made some new friends, while still being able to keep in touch with my old ones. I find my course interesting and I am enjoying what I am learning. And I have been enjoying university nightlife.

Also during this time I was also trying to keep up with my TV shows. Most of them return after summer break in the autumn and so I always had to make time for them. In particular I have really been enjoying Nashville and The Vampire Diaries. I also decided to start watching Scream Queens this year as there is no more Glee to look forward to.
This year, my TV shows have really been on point. They have been so good lately that I really can't get enough of them. And I haven't even mentioned Pretty Little Liars in this post yet. Y'all know about how much I have been freaking out about Pretty Little Liars this year. It's been insane.

The latest TV show that I have gotten hooked on is 90210. I started to watch it just before Christmas and am almost finished with season 2. I wasn't sure what to think of it at the start but I have really gotten into it and am really enjoying it so I'm excited to see where that goes. I know the show is over now but I prefer to watch shows like that so I can binge-watch it all in one go. Waiting for new episodes of TV shows sucks.

And finally, the last big thing I can really think of that I have done this year is Vlogmas. If you don't know what Vlogmas is, it is when YouTubers vlog for 24 days leading up to Christmas from the 1st of December to Christmas Eve. It's actually not as easy as it looks to produce daily content like that. I was always staying up ridiculously late at night to make sure my vlogs were edited and uploaded for the appropriate times.
But I have to say it was definitely worth it. I really like vlogs because it's just another way to capture memories and look back on them. So I felt really accomplished about that because I thought that I was going to get through the first few days of Vlogmas and then quit.

So overall, it has been a successful and productive year for me. It's probably been one of the years in my life where I have experienced the most change. It hasn't always been plain sailing though, like everyone I have my ups and downs, good days and bad days. But I would say that the good definitely outweighed the bad this year.
I am definitely looking forward to next year and all that it will bring. I have no expectations at all other than I just need to keep doing my best and see what happens. And of course I will keep you all filled in on anything big that happens.
So thank you so much for reading, I hope you all had a wonderful 2015 and that 2016 will be equally as wonderful. Or if your 2015 wasn't so great that 2016 is your year and that it is so much better to you than last year. At the end of the day, I think the year is only as good as you can make it. Things might not always go your way but I think if you keep trying and don't give up then life can be amazing.
Happy New Year guys! Make it count!
